Outlining the process
When using Pro-Fit Stretchtape Technology up to ten unfinished tapes are individually fed through the guide system. This separates the tapes and delivers them continuously into a nip where they are passed between a heated roller on the underside and a rubberised sleeve on the upperside.
The effect is to soften and compress, or close up, the weft picks in the tape construction to such an extent that it enables the tape to assume mechanical extension characteristics.
